Action Planning & Enablement

Ensure ownership of survey results and turn them into decisions and actions

Most survey programmes successfully collect data, yet fail when the report is quickly skimmed, half-heartedly discussed and quietly filed. Questback Survey Consultants help the audience understand the results, prioritize and turn insights into concrete actions…
which ultimately makes or breaks the whole initiative.

Presentations that make a difference

Letting a Questback Survey Consultant present your results (online or on site) is not just a way to save time. Questions get answered, scepticism gets addressed with methodology, and the meeting ends with a mutual agreement on what happens next, not with «let’s all read it once and then call it a day».

A presentation covers the overall result, the key insights, strengths and weaknesses, driver analysis, benchmark comparisons and recommended next steps.

The Insights & Actions Workshop

An Insights & Actions Workshop moves a leadership or project team from report reading to decision-making. The session focuses on understanding the results, surfacing the most important strengths and weaknesses, selecting priorities and defining concrete improvement actions.

Recommended for: leadership teams, HR project teams, CX teams and transformation owners.

Typical inputs: Insight Report, Live Reports, driver analysis, action matrix and open-text themes.

Typical outputs: agreed priority topics, improvement actions with owners, next steps and the communication messages for the wider organisation.

A Typical Workshop Agenda

Every workshop is adapted to your results and your audience. A typical structure can include:

    • Welcome, objectives and success criteria
    • A short recap of methodology and reporting structure
    • Review of the key findings and the driver and action-matrix priorities
    • Discussion of strengths to maintain
    • Discussion of critical weaknesses and their root causes
    • Prioritisation of action areas
    • Definition of actions, owners and next steps
    • Communication and follow-up plan

Train-the-Trainer Workshops

When dozens or hundreds of managers receive subgroup reports, the organisation needs a consistent follow-up approach since every team meeting becomes an improvisation otherwise. A train-the-trainer workshop prepares HR, department heads and internal facilitators to run result discussions with their own teams.

  • How to read and explain survey results with confidence
  • How to discuss strengths and weaknesses constructively
  • How to protect anonymity while discussing team results – the question every manager worries about
  • How to select realistic action areas instead of overloaded wish lists
  • How to document next steps and keep momentum between waves
  • Participants leave with materials they can use directly with their teams not just a data dump and principles, but concrete manuals that guides and supports through the 4-stepped methodology, talking points and a discussion structure.

Close the Loop

Action planning is not the end of the programme; it is the middle of it. The improvements you decide today are the hypotheses your next wave tests.

That is why we plan follow-up measurement into the workshop outputs: so five or six months later, you do not have to argue whether things got better. You will have proof to show!

Make the weeks after the survey count!

FAQ

How soon after the survey should the workshop happen?

Ideally within a few weeks of results being available. The longer the gap between survey and visible follow-up, the more trust and momentum the programme loses. We plan the workshop date during project kick-off, not after the results arrive.

Yes. Presentations and workshops can run online, on site or in a hybrid setup.

Typically presentations and train-the-trainer sessions run online, while full-day Insights & Action Planning Workshops are easier and more efficient to perform with everyone in the same room.

You leave with priorities, owners and next steps documented. Many organisations pair the workshop with a pulse survey five to six months later so the next wave measures whether the actions worked, and the improvement becomes visible within the organisation.
