There is absolutely a time and a place for the annual staff survey. It’s great for establishing a baseline, monitoring trends across the business and identifying the “big fixes”.
BUT – Millennials tell us that they want to give and receive feedback up to four times a day! Giggers come and go during the year. Staff join, staff leave. These critical providers of insight, experience and challenges are usually missed by the annual survey. More to the point, your focus should be on taking actions – wherever your feedback and insight is coming from.
